Qualifications:
- Amy qualified with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Coventry in 1998.
- Amy is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Amy is also trained in the use of Shockwave treatment for chronic tendon problems.
Experience:
Amy initially worked for 3yrs in Leicester Royal infirmary gaining a broad base of experience in acute specialities including orthopaedics, paediatrics, musculoskeletal problems, amputees and hydrotherapy. She then moved to Bedfordshire and locumed with various posts in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal injuries/ conditions. After short time travelling she then worked in Peterborough as a senior physiotherapist she trained to become an extended scope practitioner gaining specialist knowledge and skills in managing acute and chronic spinal conditions, working closely with GP’s and consultants.
Amy’s own interests include running/ swimming and previously rowing & triathlon which has been beneficial in her work treating sports injuries and rehab. She knows how frustrating it is to be injured and is skilled in managing goals and expectations which accompany this.
