Qualifications
- Joanne qualified from the University of Brighton in 1993 with a BSc (hons)
- In 2006 Joanne completed an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire and gained membership to the
- Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MMACP). This organisation recognises the specialist standard of care in examination, treatment and management for people with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Joanne is a member of the CSP and HCPC
- In 2018 Joanne completed a foundation course in Acupuncture. Acupuncture complements the use of manual therapy and exercise as part of rehabilitation.
Experience
After qualifying Joanne worked in the NHS for 5 years and then has worked in the private sector in both an independent hospital and private practice. Jo has extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal problems as well as post-operative orthopaedic conditions. Joanne also has post-graduate training and experience in treating hypermobility and pre/post-natal back and pelvic pain. Joanne has also had experience working as an occupational Health Physiotherapist assessing and treating people in their work place.
